Dr. Sim Sood BDS NZDREX PGDipClinDent (Otago)

Dr Sim Sood completed her BDS in 2008 with distinction and obtained her NZ Dental Qualification NZDREX in 2010. She is extremely competent in all aspects of general dentistry including dental implants and clear aligners. Her passion is cosmetic dentistry and affordable smile designing. Her special interest is also treatment of paediatric patients. She practices oral and intravenous sedation on both adult and kids patients to make the dental experience very comfortable and relaxing. She also offers facial enhancement procedures like Botox and dermal fillers. Sim has successfully owned and operated a dental practice in Northland for about four years and has nearly fifteen years of experience. She enjoys travelling and has a passion for hiking. She has hiked at various places in NZ, Australia and South America. She enjoys spending time with her kids and family.

Dr. Reem Alhafidh

Dr. Reem obtained her NZ qualification in 2001. She has a gentle and caring approach with a nice welcoming smile. She likes most aspects of general dentistry. She attends national and international conferences every year to keep herself updated with the new trends and technology. In her spare time, Reem likes to travel, explore different cultures, fine dining and exercise by walking her dogs daily.

Gemma Fielding

Gemma has over 15 years experience in the Dental and Oral Surgery Industry. She is passionate about providing the best customer service, creating a friendly and relaxed dental experience and always has a welcoming smile. Gemma loves working with a professional team who always go the extra mile to provide the best patient care. In her spare time, she enjoys horse riding, camping and going fishing with her husband and young son.

Giarna Pinhey

Giarna is very passionate about dental assisting. Her top priority is making sure all of our patients are happy and comfortable with every visit. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and spending time with her young son.

Dr Min Joo

Dr Min-Joo (MJ) obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2018. After gaining valuable experience in general dentistry in Christchurch, she made the move to Auckland in 2023. She is passionate about preventative and restorative dentistry, with a focus on creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for her patients. She is dedicated to staying updated with the latest advancements. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys playing tennis and exploring local cafes and restaurants.

Sheena McPhail

Sheena lives locally and has worked on the Hibiscus Coast since 2017. She graduated top of the class at AUT in 2008 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health Therapy and was awarded the Annette King award for academic excellence. She has a huge passion for improving the oral health outcomes for our Tamariki of Aotearoa and enjoys empowering adult patients to improve their oral health, overall health & providing quality oral hygiene therapy. She particularly enjoys working with and helping patients through dental anxiety with compassion and empathy.

Jasleen

Jasleen graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Oral Health. She is passionate about improving the oral health of adult patients. She enjoys treating kids and teenagers by helping them overcome anxiety with compassion and empathy.

Her caring approach and friendly presence make dental visits a comfortable and positive experience for patients. She enjoys cooking, going for walks, yoga, and spending time with her husband and young son in her spare time.

Dental Exam & X-rays

A dental exam is a very important step for your dentist to determine the health of your teeth, gums and mouth. The dentist will gently examine your mouth and explore the condition of your teeth and gums and will guide you through the process step by step. Dental X-rays are extremely important for the dentist to understand the problem that you are facing with your teeth. It enables the dentist to get a general overview of your mouth, esp. those hard to reach areas. X-rays allow the dentist to see all of your teeth from the crown to the bottom of the root, check for root fractures, abscesses, jaw fractures, and any hard tissue change in your bone that supports the teeth etc.
